Rangers target Divine Mukasa is now set to join Manchester City having completed medical tests with the Premier League champions.
That is according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Mukasa to Manchester City is now a ‘done deal’.
It’s claimed that a long-term contract has been agreed and that an official announcement of the deal is expected soon enough.
Mukasa has decided to leave West Ham United and the teenager believes that a move to Manchester City is the best step for his career.
That will be a blow for Rangers, who had been hoping to convince Mukasa to make the move to Glasgow…
Rangers miss out on Divine Mukasa
The Secret Scout reported in July that Divine Mukasa had visited Rangers ahead of a potential move.
Mukasa was weighing up his future at that point and had also visited Newcastle United as the Magpies eyed up a deal too.
The Daily Mail suggested that Newcastle were trying to convince Mukasa to snub Rangers and pick a move to St James’ Park instead.
Well, it turns out that both clubs are now missing out with Mukasa happy to pick Manchester City as his next club.

Rangers would have been landing something of a coup if Mukasa had chosen Ibrox over the Etihad Stadium, but it just wasn’t to be.
The 16-year-old is an attacking midfielder who has shown real potential in the West Ham ranks.
Despite only turning 16 in August, Mukasa has already turned out 10 times for West Ham in the Under-18 Premier League.
Mukasa has also featured for England at youth level and is being backed for a huge future.
Rangers may well keep tabs on Mukasa at City, potentially with the idea of signing him down the line, whether that’s on loan or permanently, depending on his development.
