Rangers appear to have won the race to sign teenager Thompson Ishaka ahead of PSV Eindhoven and some Premier League clubs.
That’s according to All Nigeria Soccer, who claim that Rangers are ‘on the brink of confirming’ Ishaka’s move to Glasgow.
The Gers took Ishaka on trial last year but weren’t able to finalise a permanent deal.
Now 18, Ishaka is able to make the move to Glasgow and it looks like Rangers are on the verge of a coup.
Ishaka just featured for Rangers in the Mohammed VI Football Academy Tournament, an Under-19 tournament based in Morocco.
Rangers appear to have seen enough and Ishaka has picked Rnagers despite interest from elsewhere.

It’s stated that PSV Eindhoven have been really pushing to sign Ishaka of late.
There has even been very lofty Premier League interest with both Chelsea and Manchester City considering trial offers.
Rangers have laid the groundwork for some time though and it looks like it will all pay off with Ishaka set to sign.
Primarily a left-sided winger, Ishaka was born in Nigeria and will now move to Glasgow to join the Rangers B team.
When you factor in that Rangers have high hopes for Zak Lovelace, the Gers may well hope to see him and Ishaka develop together and become first-team stars.
Another Nigeria-eligible winger in Malcolm Ebiowei didn’t exactly have the best time at Rangers and we can only hope that Ishaka has better fortunes.
Rangers have placed a keen focus on youth recruitment of late with Lovelace, Kevin Ciubotaru, Christian Mulinwa, Bailey Rice, Alex Kpakpe and Lancelot Pollard among the talent added.
This is a long-term strategy from Ross Wilson and one that either needs to prove first-team talent or sell-on value if Rangers are to reap rewards.
