Rangers star Borna Barisic has provided an emphatic response pledging allegiance to the club, following reports of interest from AC Milan and Roma, as captured by RangersTV.
The two Serie A giants reportedly scouted the left-back during the second leg of the Gers’ Europa League tie against Braga and may be considering a summer move [Scottish Herald].
Roma were also linked with the player in January, with Steven Gerrard confirming back then that the capital club had made their interest known [The Times].
However, later that month, Barisic signed a contract extension until 2024 and says he’s still focused solely on all things Ibrox.

“I don’t know anything about that, I’m still at Rangers and focused 100%, that’s all that matters,” he said, as captured by RangersTV.
“Speculation is for newspapers and things like that, it’s not for me. For me, it’s only Rangers for me now and that’s it.”

The left-back has nailed his colours to the mast here and was clearly reluctant to answer questions that weren’t Rangers related.
He’s had a slightly stop-start period since the winter break, missing games here and there with various knocks.
Therefore, he’ll be hoping for a sustained run in the side between now and the end of the season, before he takes part in Euro 2020 with Croatia.
While his emphatic response is unlikely to make the speculation go away, it’ll be encouraging for the supporters to know his mind isn’t wandering.
Spirits have been raised at Ibrox as a result of progression to the last 16 of the Europa League and with a Scottish Cup quarter-final now just a day away, Barisic and co certainly have plenty left to play for.
