Rangers star Glen Kamara was a Finland stand-out at Euro 2020 and naturally – as many predicted – the 25-year-old’s performances have garnered some attention.
Kamara has been one of Steven Gerrard’s boldest success stories, the midfielder coming on leaps and bounds under the management team’s guidance and blossoming into a fine footballer.

Glen is now confident strutting his stuff against the best as he beefs up and adds bite to his technical ability and natural awareness.
It’s not been easy for the Finnish international, who took the long route to the top after being released by Arsenal as a youngster following his time at the London club’s Academy.
A spell at Dundee under Neil McCann would follow and it’s during his time at Dens Park that Kamara would play alongside Tom Hateley – the son of Gers legend Mark.
Kamara would sign a pre-contract deal with Rangers in January 2019, moving for a famous £50k shortly afterwards, and Hateley believes Kamara is now a £20m superstar.
“It’s definitely the best £50k Rangers have ever spent,” Hateley told the Daily Record.
“And if you tried to sell Glen now, you’d get millions for him, the way the market is.
“For Rangers to snap him up for that amount of money was a brilliant piece of business. And he’s obviously kicked on since then.
“Rangers have a big decision to make on Glen after the Euros.
“But he’s at a great age and he’s someone I’d look to keep hold of.
“I’d be trying to build the Rangers side around him. He’s so consistently good and is rarely injured.
“He’d be difficult to replace because of the position he plays – and the way Rangers play.

“They’d need to go after someone who can cover the ground the way he does, shuffling out to the sides, the way their two midfielders have to in that system.
“He plays that role so well, as he showed last season. And clearly Gerrard rates him so highly now.
“The problem for Scottish clubs when they’re selling top players is how the game here is viewed by others.
“Clubs try to get players from Scotland on cut-price deals because they’re playing in the SPFL. But the fact Glen has now gone on to the Euros stage, played well and looked comfortable, means Rangers should be looking at around £20m for Glen at least.

“There are players in England who are hardly playing at their clubs but are commanding crazy fees.
“If I was a manager or director of football, I’d be looking at a consistent performer like Glen. And he’d be worth every penny of a £20m signing.”
It’s high praise indeed for a footballer who continues to impress everyone who sets their gaze upon him.
Three such clubs who’ve reportedly expressed an interest this summer are Premier League newboys Watford and Brentford as well as former club Arsenal.

Hateley believes the lure of a return to the Emirates may be too strong but claims that even if Kamara remains at Ibrox, Glen is in a great position.
Given his ever-increasing statute in the game, let’s enjoy him whilst we can.
Rangers star Kamara also topped the charts in the Euro 2020 group stage for one major statistic in a reveal which very much justifies the reported interest in the player.
