Here, we rank the most expensive Rangers transfer sales in the club’s history with the record departure totalling almost £20m.

Rangers, much like their arch-rivals Celtic, despite being a massive club operate very similarly to the other teams in the Scottish Premiership.

Of course, the big differences are transfer fees paid and received but the concept remains the same – buy low and sell for as much as possible.

And this type of player trading model is perfect for Rangers who are unable to compete in the transfer market with the giants of European football and the English Premier League big guns.

At one point in the early 2000s, Rangers were able to rub shoulders with the financial superpowers of British football but things have certainly changed since then.

The ‘buy low, sell big’ model has been a success for the Ibrox club as we exemplify below. So who are Rangers’ biggest transfer departures ever? We at Rangers News have listed the top 10 fees Gers have ever received for their players.
