Rangers defender Borna Barisic wants to stay at Ibrox despite interest from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Left back Barisic is not only keen to stay put at Rangers, but would also like to sign a new contract.
Talks over a new deal are believed to be ongoing between Rangers and Barisic’s representatives in the hope of finding an agreement.
That is according to a report from Football Scotland, who claim that there has been no contact from Nottingham Forest for Barisic just yet.
The Scottish Sun reported on Friday night that Forest are lining up a bid to sign Barisic this summer.
That move hasn’t been initiated just yet though and Barisic remains minded to stay at Rangers.

The key man in this rumour is Ross Wilson.
The former Rangers man is now calling the shots at Forest having been appointed as their Chief Football Officer.
Forest are absolutely desperate for a left back and Wilson may well believe that Barisic can solve the problems.

Barisic is an option very familiar to Wilson and that may be where this rumour sprouted from given that Rangers are yet to receive contact.

Rangers struck a deal worth £3.4million rising to £5million to sign Yilmaz from Besiktas.
The 22-year-old had a slow start to life at Rangers but impressed in the latter stages of the season with two assists away at St Mirren.
Rangers will want to get Yilmaz moving forward at Ibrox and that will mean eating into Barisic’s minutes, which is something for all parties to consider as they discuss a new contract.
