Rangers have officially announced the signing of in-demand Millwall talent Zak Lovelace as he becomes the latest English talent to head north of the border.
The Ibrox side have already taken advantage of cross-border compensation rules to strike cut-price deals for the likes of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey in the past.

Now they’ll be hoping 16-year-old forward Zak Lovelace can have a similar impact after they held off Premier League interest to make the kid the club’s latest signing.
Rangers finalise Zak Lovelace deal
Rangers are said to have been tailing the youngster for a while and have now moved to make the deal official as this exciting young talent moves to Ibrox.
The likes of Leicester City and Brighton had also been linked with a move for the kid [Daily Record] and this is a claim backed up the 4th Official.
The online outlet also believes that manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst played a key role in securing the deal by proving there was a pathway to the first team.
The move comes after the kid was handed his Millwall debut as a 15-year-old, becoming the club’s second youngest player, making five appearances in total last season.
Branded an academy signing by the club, Zak Lovelace will likely go into the Rangers B team but it’s clear the route is there for the kid to go as far as he wants at Ibrox.
Rangers have undergone a substantial summer of investment in their youth set up with Lovelace the latest in a series of youth signings.
The Gers initially announced strengthening the club’s U18s with a host of new first team signings including Kieron Willox (ICT), Cameron Cooper (Partick) and Mason Munn (Glentoran) [Rangers].
The Ibrox side are even said to have pipped Old Firm rivals Celtic to the signing of one bluenose midfielder who made the switch from a club of Premiership rivals.
