A Rangers source has revealed what the plan is for Oliver Antman, as Club Brugge are keen on securing his services.

Antman moved to Ibrox last summer from Go Ahead Eagles for a £3m fee, but the transfer has not paid off for the Gers.

The 24-year-old has made 28 appearances for Rangers, but has scored just one goal and provided five assists – a disappointing output for a winger.

Rangers open to Oliver Antman sale this summer

Rangers are willing to part ways with Antman this summer, even though he has been at the club for just a year, one source tells Rangers News.

The Light Blues signed the Finland international when Russell Martin was the manager, and he has not been a regular under Danny Rohl’s stewardship.

The German is keen on bringing more leaders to the club, and does not see Antman as someone who ticks that box.

It is unclear how much the Gers will demand for the Finland international, but they are likely to want as much, if not more, than what they paid to sign him last summer.

Club Brugge are reportedly interested in signing him, and as per Algemeen Dagblad, have shortlisted him.

The Belgian club were impressed with him at Go Ahead Eagles, where he ended the 2024/25 season as the leading assist holder in the Eredivisie.

What Antman has said about his struggles at Ibrox

Back in February, Antman admitted that he had not enjoyed the best of starts to life at Ibrox, but also explained how his injury derailed his progress.

However, he stated that he is working on himself and promised the fans that he will do a lot better.

He also revealed that he did not fear for his future at Rangers, but if Rohl is tasked to win the Scottish Premiership next season, the 24-year-old is not the kind of player he would want starting week in and week out.

While Antman did show some signs of promise following his injury, he did not get regular minutes post the split, and is unlikely to have a future at Ibrox unless the Gers boss changes his hand.

The winger said: “I haven’t had the best start to my Rangers career and then [suffered] an injury. But I’ve always believed in my own abilities.

“Before the injury, I didn’t play the best football I could play. If I had played the best I could and that was the end result, then I think I should be a little more worried.

“But by knowing that I can do a lot better, I think it’s just a matter of time until it shows. So that’s the only thing I’m thinking about. 100% [the fans are still to see the best of me].”

When asked if he was worried about his future at the club, the winger added: “No. Not really. I can definitely feel the difference now. Compared to the time before I was injured.

“It’s a lot easier to come into the team, and it’s a lot easier to play now. I’m just more excited, but no, I wasn’t worried or anything like that. I’m really happy with the team at the moment and where I am.

“I think I can still do a lot, a lot better, but just got a couple of games after injury and I’ve got a goal and a couple of assists. So, yeah, I’m happy where things are going.”
