Sky Sports have reported that Rangers have approached Jordan Jones ahead of a potential transfer to Ibrox.
This news comes after repeated interest from the Gers across recent transfer windows.

However, should this go through, the club won’t see the benefits for a while.
It is understood Rangers are looking for the winger to sign a pre-contract agreement, ahead of a summer move.
Jones’ current club, Kilmarnock, are said to have been informed about the approach.
Verdict
Rangers are clearly determined to make the most of the January window, even, in this case, if that means simply lightening their summer workload.
Jones has been a player of interest for some time.
Since arriving at Killie in 2016 on a free from Middlesborough, he has impressed many with his speed and trickery.

So far, he has amassed 74 SPL appearances for the Rugby Park outfit, scoring 14 times.
Jones also has five caps for Northern Ireland, for whom he qualifies through a Northern Irish father.

Clearly, the Gers haven’t been put off by previous failures to bring him to Ibrox. This time last year, they reportedly had a £350,000 bid rejected.
With the potential for other arrivals this month, the Rangers hierarchy obviously don’t feel the need to pay a fee for a player who could join on a free in the summer. Hence, this pre-contract approach.
No one is resting on their laurels at Ibrox this week, that’s for sure!
