The goalkeeper will be looking to stake a claim to be a legitimate contender to take over from Allan McGregor as the Ibrox great approaches 40 and his contract expires at the end of the current season.
The 29-year-olds contract runs out at the end of the season and Rangers could soon sign him on a pre-contract agreement in January.
Clark, who is a boyhood Rangers fan, starred for St Johnstone as they won an incredible domestic cup double last season.
Clark has yet to make his mind up
Zander Clark told the Courier that he is yet to make a decision on his future as he focuses on his football.
“That [contract talks] is all going on in the background,” said Clark [Courier].
“ I let other people deal with it and I just focus on what I need to do, I just try to put in good performances and help get points on board for the team.
“That is enough for me. It’s not at the forefront of my mind. I will find out when anything happens.
“I am still a St Johnstone player, and my full focus is on doing the best I can for this club,” Clark said.
Rangers will be aiming for all three points as the Saints travel to Ibrox but Clark will want to impress new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst in what could well be an audition for the Ibrox side.
