Rangers are set to have a busy transfer window with the potential for players to head in both directions, one of those being Borna Barisic.
The 35-times capped Croatia international is one of six players who are out of contract at the end of the season and Philippe Clement has a decision to make.
With interest being reported from Aston Villa, Roma and now Dinamo Zagreb – a club he has played for before – according to Index, the Rangers manager has a decision to make on Borna Barisic.

Rangers have Borna Barisic decision to make
Barisic turns 32 this year and for all it appears that left-back is a priority for Clement, there is money to be saved by not extending the contract of a player who has been here a long time.
Names like Kai Wagner, Fredrick Oppegard and Josh Doig have all been mentioned as possibilities whilst Ridvan Yilmaz also continues to be linked with a move away from Ibrox.
Ironically, Ridvan has been our best player in the two games before the winter break but he either hasn’t settled in the country or the Gers boss wants a player who is more robust.
Index claim that Dinamo were frustrated not to get a deal for Borna Barisic done in the summer and that they will now make an attempt to sign the Rangers defender on a pre-contract agreement.
Given his age and profile, I’d doubt that Barisic would want to go to Serie A or the Premier League at this stage of his career to potentially sit on the bench, unless he was getting silly money, of course.
For a fee of around £2m, Rangers have got good value out of Borna Barisic and probably could have sold him for a profit at some point.
At his best, he was Croatia’s first choice left-back in a team competing at the sharp end of major tournaments.
After six years though, it’s time to move on, as our game has, but his ability to find a Rangers player in packed SPFL penalty boxes will always be missed.
