The Daily Record reports that Ryan Kent wants to return to Rangers.
The 22-year-old winger was a major hit at Ibrox last season, bringing flair to Steven Gerrard’s side.

He returned to his parent club, Liverpool, at the end of the season. However, multiple clubs in England have since been linked with permanent moves for the wide man.
Given figures in excess of £12m have been reported [Liverpool Echo], it’s thought that a further loan deal is the only viable option for Rangers.
Yet, it was recently suggested that Liverpool are amenable to that approach.
Now, with Aston Villa pulling out of the race for Kent’s signature, the Record claims he has told his representatives that he would prefer to return to Glasgow next season.

Verdict
If this information is correct, it translates to a huge boost for Rangers ahead of 2019/20.
Kent registered an unspectacular six goals and six assists in the last SPL campaign, but he brought so much more than that to the table.
He offers pace and flair otherwise absent in the squad, getting fans off their seats week in, week out.
Following that, Gerrard made it clear months ago that Kent was a priority target this summer [The Scotsman]. Therefore, it will be of great relief to the manager, that a positive conclusion is now in sight.
Let’s hope the speedster gets his wish and will soon be back wreaking havoc at Ibrox.
