Vitesse Arnhem captain Danilho Doekhi has reportedly snubbed a move to Dinamo Zagreb, paving the way for a move to Rangers instead.
The Ibrox side have been extensively linked to the 23-year-old Eredivisie centre-back with the player’s contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Rangers are one of a number of clubs reportedly looking at Doekhi with Dinamo Zagreb and Napoli also linked.
But according to Croatian outlet 24 Zata – being quoted by the Daily Record – the big defender is set to snub a move to the HNL.1.
This comes after a series of reports that claimed Dinamo had offered Danilho Doekhi a contract and were eager to have the situation resolved before the transfer window shut.
This means Rangers are still very much in the running for the former Ajax and Netherlands youth international who has previously talked up a move to Ibrox.
Rangers target Danilho Doekhi snubs Dinamo
The defender opened up to De Gelderlander about January transfer links and talked up the idea of moving to Scotland or Italy, but didn’t mention Dinamo.
“That’s just how football works. A winter transfer is not ideal. You get in somewhere halfway. But if an opportunity comes up, I shouldn’t let it go,” said Danilho Doekhi.
“Of course, I get the stories of Napoli and Rangers. I am flattered. Scotland is passion. In Italy, you really learn how to defend yourself. Both are beautiful.”
Danilho Doekhi could come in through a revolving door at Rangers in the centre-back position this summer with a number of first-team players out of contract.

Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun have yet to sign new deals at Ibrox, whilst Rangers fringe defender Jack Simpson remains unfancied.
Rangers have also already moved for John Souttar who – despite the club’s best efforts – remains a Hearts player until the summer.
