Juventus are considering terminating the contract of Aaron Ramsey following his loan stint with Rangers in the second half of this season.
Italian outlet Tutto Sport claim that the Serie A giants are looking into a severance package for the Welsh international as he enters the final year of his deal.
The report claims that Rangers have “no intention” of resigning the midfielder after an underwhelming stint in Glasgow amid much fanfare over the ex-Arsenal star’s signing.
Making mention of his reported £6m a year salary in Italy, it’ll be interesting to see if an agreement can be reached in this regard.
If a deal can be struck to release Aaron Ramsey from his Juventus contract, it appears Rangers won’t be eager to resign the midfielder and that comes as little surprise.
Rangers have “no intention” of Aaron Ramsey move amid Juventus contract reports
The Welsh international midfielder, 31, spent the first half of 2022 on loan with the Gers but struggled with injury as the Ibrox side reached the Europa League Final.
Unfortunately, Ramsey’s time at the club will be remembered for missing the decisive penalty against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville and his heartbreak was evident at full-time.
Sending an emotional message following the Scottish Cup Final win, Ramsey praised the Rangers support despite the disappointment attached to his spell.
“To the blue sea of Ibrox – I want to thank you all for your overwhelming support through the highs and lows,” said Juventus loanee Aaron Ramsey on Instagram.
“You are some of the most passionate fans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Once a Ranger always Ranger.”
Attention will now turn to who Rangers move for in the coming weeks as the Ibrox club prepare for a potentially busy summer in Glasgow.
There are plenty of transfer reports already doing the rounds with the Gers said to be facing off against Premier League clubs to sign an ex-Man United youth.
