Philippe Clement will need as much quality as possible if he is to take Rangers back to the top of the Scottish Premiership which means that a return to health for Tom Lawrence could be key.
The Wales international has had a torrid time after starting his Ibrox career on fire and will be a welcome addition to the Gers boss’ squad.
Speaking in Spain before heading back for the friendly with Copenhagen, Rangers playmaker Tom Lawrence is raring to go.

Rangers have Tom Lawrence boost for title fight
As the performance against Hertha Berlin showed, we are still too wasteful in front of goal and the 30-year old could play a key part in improving how clinical we are.
He has already sampled life under Philippe Clement before his latest setback but the former Man Utd academy graduate is confident that he can hit the ground running on his return:
“It’s all good. It was good to get out to Spain and get some training done. I’m just looking forward now.
“I’m back training with the team, I’m injury-free at the minute. I’m sick of talking about it, to be honest. I’m sick of being injured, I just want to get fit and hopefully, I can do that.
“It was a massive couple of months when the gaffer first arrived. I played my part when I was fit so I know what I need to do and I know what to expect.”
Clement’s system suits Tom Lawrence perfectly in that his football intelligence and flexibility allows him to play in any of the front six positions for Rangers.
When he first signed, Giovanni van Bronckhorst would use him off the left-hand side or at number ten but he is just as capable of playing on the right or in any of the deeper midfield roles.
What Lawrence has, is the right mindest.
He plays with his head up and looks to play forwards, he also isn’t shy when it comes to pulling the trigger, off either foot.
With a week until league action resumes, seeing Tom Lawrence back in a Rangers shirt is a massive lift and one that will give Clement a helping hand ahead of what could be a monumental five months.
