A £5m fee has been claimed as recently as January for the 28-year old Jamaica international but, having declared his availability, this will now be a lot less.

The only thing going against Clarke-Harris is that he isn’t the most mobile or athletic.
He’s a big lad who could handle the rough and tumble of Scottish football but if Beale is looking for pace and energy, he wouldn’t be the right choice.
Walter Smith always knew how to build a squad and always managed to get the right balance in attack, Michael Beale must do the same and there could be a place for JCH.
