“FC Toulouse have announced the departures of four of their most important players, as their contracts were due to expire next month.
“Dutch midfielder Branco van den Boomen, who was voted Ligue 1 central midfielder of the year by Get French Football News, is among them.
“His fellow countryman Stijn Spierings will also follow suit, as well as Toulouse goalkeeper Maxime Dupé and Belgian club captain Brecht Dejaegere.”

Branco van den Boomen is a man in-demand across Europe’s top leagues, Ajax said to be favourites for his signature.
After an underwhelming development in the Netherlands when he was younger though, a return to his homeland wouldn’t be a surprise.
PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord are both said to be interested in the 27-year old playmaker but Rangers could easily compete with the Dutch giants in terms of wages.
Stijn Spierings is a player who would be more suitable for Rangers after the announcement of Kieran Dowell.
A player who can play at the base of midfield and drop into defence to build play.
John Lundstram has looked better in recent weeks but Spierings is a specialist and has been doing the role in Ligue 1.
