Former Rangers forward Fashion Sakala has hinted at a fall-out with Michael Beale around his move to Al-Fayha this summer.
Whilst the details of the claim are yet to be released, leading Rangers journalist Chris Jack is set to publish an interview with the Zambian later today.
Ahead of the release, the Herald & Times writer claims that not only was the relationship between Michael Beale and Fashion Sakala “soured”, but that the forward was given a training ground ban.
The hotly-anticipated interview will be released later on Rangers Review but in the meantime the chatter has got Ibrox fans talking on social media.
Michael Beale praised “close” Fashion Sakala relationship
Despite being one of Rangers’ most effective players under Beale, Fashion Sakala was sold to Saudi Pro League club Al-Fayha in the summer.
With Rangers banking a reported £4m on the Bosman signing – who joined the club from KV Oostende in 2021 – the offer appeared too good to refuse, for all parties.
Then Rangers manager Beale claimed that he was “counting on” Fashion suggesting the exit was a substantial blow to the Gers’ hopes for the season.
Michael Beale claimed that “financially” the offer is one Fashion Sakala “should have taken” for his family and suggested that the pair’s “really close relationship” allowed a deal to be completed smoothly.
Whilst it’s important we don’t speculate on the situation until the interview is released, Rangers fans have taken note of the comments ahead of hearing what Fashion has to say.
Popular ex-Rangers attacker to tell all
Fashion Jnr remains a popular figure amongst the Ibrox support and many feel the club sold the Zambian international before he’d reached his peak in Glasgow.
Whilst Abdallah Sima has stepped up following the exit of both Fashion Sakala and Ryan Kent, the attacker’s 12 goals and 8 assists from last season a sizeable gap to plug in the squad.
Rangers’ blunt attack, alongside the club’s questionable summer transfer business, continues to come under the microscope with former manager Beale front and centre.

With Sakala appearing to point to something of a fall-out with Michael Beale, it could just add fuel to the fire encircling the manager following a stuttering stint in Glasgow.
Fashion Sakala has certainly been settling into the Saudi Pro League quite impressively, the attacker scoring 10 goals and laying on 6 assists for Al-Fayha this season.
