Rangers are interested in snapping up young striker Filip Skorb but face a battle with Leeds United and Newcastle United.

That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that Skorb is on the Rangers radar.

It’s suggested that Skorb will play for Rangers as a trialist against Manchester United this coming weekend.

Rangers are understood to be interested in signing Skorb to a contract but there is major interest in England.

Skorb has already been on trial with Leeds United and impressed with the Premier League club.

Newcastle United are also claimed to be interested in Skorb and could make a move of their own.

Skorb is currently with the Portobello Community Football Academy in Edinburgh, playing at Under-15 level.

Skorb is one for the future but may soon have a big decision to make over his future with so many big clubs targeting him.

Rangers could continue youth recruitment with Filip Skorb

Gers fans are desperate for Ross Wilson to bring in some real quality first-team signings during the summer window.

Yet Rangers are seemingly ready to continue their push for youngsters to join the Ibrox ranks.

All Nigeria Soccer reported last month that Thompson Ishaka has agreed to join Rangers despite interest from PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea and Manchester City.

This comes after the recent additions of players like Zak Lovelace, Souleyman Mandey, Bailey Rice, Alek Kpakpe and Lancelot Pollard.

The pathway from youth to first-team hasn’t been an easy one at Rangers in recent times but the Gers are desperate to add quality young players for the future.

Skorb could be next, and Rangers could land a real coup if they manage to beat Leeds and Newcastle in this transfer race.
