It emerged this morning that Jordan Rossiter’s days are numbered as a Rangers player.
That’s because the Scottish Sun, among others, claims the 22-year-old has been told to find a new club by Steven Gerrard.

After a successful loan spell at Bury over the second half of last season, Rossiter may have felt he was finally in with a chance of breaking through at Ibrox.
Yet, the strength in depth in the Gers midfield seems to have accounted for him, as it has Graham Dorrans and Jason Holt.
The general sentiment amongst Rangers fans seems to be one of disappointment. Rossiter brings with him an automatic thought of ‘what if.’
‘What if’ he hadn’t been plagued by injuries throughout his time in Glasgow? What level of player would Rangers now have on their hands?
Gerrard has seen enough
It seems that although he looks to have finally put those woes behind him, we’ll never know for sure.
He was a stand out performer in EFL League Two last term. Yet, he clearly didn’t do enough to convince Gerrard that he could realistically challenge for a spot.

In all fairness, with the likes of Glen Kamara, Ross McCrorie and Ryan Jack all capable of playing in a combative midfield role, you would need to be a hell of a player to get game time.
Considering he’s been earning a reported £10k-a-week since 2016 [
He leaves with the good wishes of plenty of Bears, though.
