Rangers fans react to confirmed loan transfer for promising youngster

On Thursday morning, Rangers confirmed that Robby McCrorie is heading out of the club.
He leaves Ibrox on loan for the third time, joining Queen of the South for the entirety of the upcoming season.

It’s the second consecutive campaign he will be operating in the Scottish Championship. That’s after establishing himself as Greenock Morton’s no.1 stopper during the final months of last term.
Of course, this transfer means that for another season at least, Ross will be the only McCrorie to have kept for the Gers in a competitive game.
However, Robby’s development takes priority. It’s much more beneficial for him to play week in, week out than to hang around waiting for an unlikely chance at Ibrox.

The
current farcical goalkeeping situation means there could be as many as four keepers ahead of him in the pecking order.
Allan McGregor is, of course, the no.1. Wes Foderingham, Jak Alnwick and Andy Firth are all also on the books right now.
The thought process is that if McCrorie goes away and works hard elsewhere, it will accelerate his chance of making it with the Gers. He’s contracted until 2022, so he has the security that he does genuinely feature in the club’s future plans.
Plenty of Bears responded to the news with praise for the youngster and good luck messages.
