Rangers fans have responded on Twitter after the club were linked with a move for Dundee United star Lawrence Shankland by Talking Football host Bill Young.
The Gers have already brought two new forwards to Ibrox this summer – Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten – but Alfredo Morelos has been heavily linked with an exit.

El Bufalo has been the subject of a protracted transfer saga but after sitting out of the weekend win over Kilmarnock, Colombian journalist Yanjane Meneses G. has claimed that a €20m (approximately £18m) deal has been agreed for the player to join Lille.
According to Young, that transfer would pave the way for the Gers to ramp up talks with Dundee United’s Shankland.
The Scotland international has been a prolific goalscorer in recent years, netting 34 times for Ayr United across the 2018/19 campaign and 28 times for United during the curtailed 2019/20 season.

Shankland has only featured in one of the Terrors’ fixtures since their return to the top flight due to injury, but he is only out with a relatively minor ankle knock rather than a long-term problem.
The Gers were said to be scouting the 25-year-old last season [Daily Record] but no move for the player, who grew up supporting Rangers, materialised in January.
Rangers fans appear to be split on the links, with some welcoming the alleged interest in a penalty box striker and others insisting that Shankland isn’t of the required standard.
