Rangers fans rage at rumours of imminent Daniel Candeias exit

Turkish media outlet Ajansspor, claim that Genclerbirligi have ‘reached an agreement’ to sign Daniel Candeias from Rangers.
The Portuguese is valued at £900k by Transfermarkt, but no fee is suggested in the report.

The industrious right-winger has been with the club since 2017 and was one of the few positive signings made under the Pedro Caixinha regime.
He was a near ever-present under Steven Gerrard last season, too. Candeias turned out 54 times and while he didn’t produce the goods in the final third as often as would be expected, he gave 100% every week.

With the arrival of multiple new wide players this summer, though, his stock seems to have fallen. The manager left him out of the Gers’ Europa League squad for the early qualifying stages.
He responded to that blow in style with a brace against Marseille at the weekend, drawing big praise from Rangers fans. Therefore, it’s no wonder that some are shocked to hear these reports.

Nothing has been verified as yet, and until there’s something concrete, the rumours should be treated with suspicion.
