Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to fresh reports the club are trying to sign Elvir Koljić from Krupa (the Daily Record).
Steven Gerrard yesterday completed a deal for Borna Barisic from NK Osijek – his 11th signing of a busy summer – and is now looking to immediately follow that deal up with a swoop for Koljić.

The 23-year-old Bosnian striker, who was born in Valladolid Spain, has an excellent record for current club Krupa, having scored 40 goals in just 59 games across all competitions.
Gerrard will need to move quick over Koljić and apparently an official bid has been lodged, with time now fast running out for clubs in the UK to complete their business.
The transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday, and the Gers arguably still need to sign a centre-back as well as a striker.

Rangers supporters will be hopeful of seeing some significant movement over the Koljić deal today, with the club only able to field two options at the moment in Umar Sadiq and Alfredo Morelos. That said, the club are also supposedly targeting another Bosnian in Armin Hodzic according to the Daily Record again, so there’s plenty of reason for optimism.
Here are some of the best takes from Gers fans on Koljić…
Now Koljic plays for Krupa. Heard of them? Me neither. Apparently finished 6th in the Bosnian top flight last season. That being said, lads got 35 goals in 55 games. 2016/17 he got 13 in 26 games – the following season he got 6 in 15 before going on loan to Lech Poznan

Elvir Koljic is the other. And I think maybe more exciting? Two appearances for the Bosnian national team – but he only got his first run in this last season, whereas Hodzic has got five in three years now since 2016. pic.twitter.com/0LVSDPP8d1

So Rangers have supposedly bid for Elvir Koljic and Armin Hodzic. Can’t say I know anything about either but their recent goal scoring records are pretty decent. Will be interesting to see how this pans out. Glad we’re looking at strengthening our attacking options though!

Bosnian papers also stating Elvir Koljic will also be signing with rangers. Another Bosnian striker with a great goal scoring record. Unreal business if both strikers sign 😍 pic.twitter.com/p8EOya58oU

Bosnian ST of the same age as Hodzic, less prolific and seems to be a bit injury prone but could be a decent spare ST if he was to sign, I think we are trying to turn our team into a full Yugoslavia team…

He looks the type of striker we need really good in the air and with ball at feet.

Gerrards not messing around he’s sees we’re lacking in goalscoring and fixing it quickly.

Positive vibes coming in every direction!

Looks like the alternative to Lafferty

Not too sure having looked at his career stats

I like Lafferty, but the Bosnian boy Koljíc is only 23, already capped & supposedly Panathanikos are keen too. Seems a no brainer. No looked into the other one yet
