Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to fresh reports the club are trying to sign Elvir Koljić from Krupa (the Daily Record).

Steven Gerrard yesterday completed a deal for Borna Barisic from NK Osijek – his 11th signing of a busy summer – and is now looking to immediately follow that deal up with a swoop for Koljić.

The 23-year-old Bosnian striker, who was born in Valladolid Spain, has an excellent record for current club Krupa, having scored 40 goals in just 59 games across all competitions.

Gerrard will need to move quick over Koljić and apparently an official bid has been lodged, with time now fast running out for clubs in the UK to complete their business.

The transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday, and the Gers arguably still need to sign a centre-back as well as a striker.

Rangers supporters will be hopeful of seeing some significant movement over the Koljić deal today, with the club only able to field two options at the moment in Umar Sadiq and Alfredo Morelos. That said, the club are also supposedly targeting another Bosnian in Armin Hodzic according to the Daily Record again, so there’s plenty of reason for optimism.
