Rangers are reportedly set to strike a deal with FC Honka over the transfer of Colombian striker Juan Alegria, putting an 18-month Ibrox transfer saga to an end.
The Ibrox side were linked with a move to Alegria in January, with reports then claiming the player has been on the Gers’ radar for 12 months.
More than six months on, the Athletic are claiming that Rangers have struck a six-figure agreement with the Finnish side to transfer the 19-year-old forward.
According to that report, the striker is in Scotland and Glasgow putting the finishing touches on the move as he completes a medical.
According to the Herald, there has been no issues with this deal and Alegria will be a Rangers player soon.
The striker will initially join up with the Rangers B team where his progress will be closely monitored by the powers that be at Ibrox.
Alegria only moved to Honka in September last year following the expiration of his contract at Deportes Tolima.
Playing for Honka this season, Alegria netted a double in a 4-1 demolition of Veikkausliiga rival Ilves earlier in the month.
Colombia to Finland to Scotland is a path increasingly well-travelled with Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos taking the journey in his career.

The Colombian firebrand joined Rangers for a reported £1m in 2017 from HJK Helsinki and he has gone on to establish himself as the main man at Ibrox.
If Colombian youth international Alegria can go on to have a similar impact as Alfie at Ibrox then this will prove shrewd business by the Gers.
Speaking of signings going into the B team, one summer move is already showing Manchester United what they’re missing after joining the Gers.
