Rangers defender Mateusz Zukowski is now “close” to an Ibrox exit as Michael Beale’s promise of imminent outgoings appears to ring true.
According to Sebastian Stasweski and established Polish outlet Sport Interia, Mateusz Zukowski looks set to join Slask Wroclaw of the country’s Ekstraklasa.

The journalist claimed that the final decision regarding the 21-year-old would be made in the next couple of days, with the player set to sign a season-long loan deal in Poland.
The links come after Mateusz Zukowski spent the season on loan with Lech Poznan back in his home country, but the Polish side failed to take up an option-to-buy on the player this summer.
Zukowski to leave Rangers
Rangers signed Mateusz Zukowski under the sporting directorship of Ross Wilson whose Ibrox record is beginning to look more and more questionable by the transfer report.
The right-back was signed as a potential back-up to club captain James Tavernier and a replacement for Scotland international Nathan Patterson following the youngster’s move to Everton.
The youngster failed to make any sort of impact following a reported £400k move to Glasgow, but if there is one saving grace for Zukowski, he wasn’t Rangers’ most high profile flop of the window.
James Sands, Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey all arrived on loan from NYCFC, Man United and Juventus respectively and whilst they promised so much, the window contributed massively to a domestic collapse at Ibrox.
All three are now elsewhere with this particular quartet forming what is – probably – the most damaging Rangers transfer window failure since the club got their act together post-2012.

Polish transfer to kickstart exodus
The exit of Mateusz Zukowski also comes after Michael Beale claimed last week following the signing of Dutch striker Sam Lammers that Rangers exits were imminent.
“The coming weeks will see more trading both in and out of the squad as we prepare for the season ahead,” said Beale.
“We have key areas of focus and we are close to securing our targets in those positions.”
The Rangers manager has also previously talked about trimming the fat in the club’s squad, with the arrival of Dujon Sterling and emergence of Adam Devine making Mateusz Zukowski surplus to requirements.
The right-back made one appearance in total for Rangers, coming off the bench in the 3-0 Scottish Cup victory over Annan Athletic in season 21/22.
