According to a Scottish Herald report, Rangers could get a fee in the region of £8 million if they decided to sell Glen Kamara to a Premier League club.
The Gers signed the Finland international from Dundee back in January for the minuscule sum of £50,000.

That paltry transfer fee has been the source of great joy for Bears ever since, with teammate Scott Arfield calling it ‘the steal of the century’ [Daily Record].
Now, it’s suggested with three Premier League teams – Crystal Palace, Brighton and Bournemouth – as well as Championship outfit Leeds United, all said to be interested in the 24-year-old, the Gers could be set to make a major profit.
The Scottish Herald report acknowledges that the Gers are under no financial pressure to sell, just as the club’s new Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, recently asserted [BBC Sport].
However, it’s suggested that the midfielder could command a fee of £8 million. That’s an incredible 160 times what the club paid for him just ten months ago.

Verdict
The idea of making a near £8 million profit on a player in less than a year is remarkable.
It just goes to show how impressive Kamara has been since joining the Gers.
After a blip at the beginning of the season, he’s looked back to his best over the last few weeks with commanding performances in both domestic and European competition.
Given his influential recent displays, though, selling him in January would clearly be detrimental to the club’s quest for silverware.
The player still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his deal, so there’s no rush. Perhaps the best course of action would be to hold out until the summer when he could well take part in Euro 2020 with Finland.
If he performs well there, the club may then be able to demand an even greater sum.
