Rangers have confirmed the exit of Swiss international striker Cedric Itten to BSC Young Boys for an “undisclosed” fee.
The move comes amid a series of reports leading up to the transfer as the 25-year-old forward calls time on what has been an ultimately disappointing stint in Glasgow.
Rangers recognised the contribution of the striker and in particular an important goal in the 55th title winning season against Motherwell which “turned a tight match” in the Ibrox club’s favour [Rangers].
In total Cedric Itten played 49 times for Rangers, scoring nine goals, and everyone at Ibrox wishes the forward well for the future.

Reports ahead of the transfer suggested that Rangers stood to make around £1.5m on the transfer of Cedric Itten to Young Boys.
Rangers reportedly paid £2.7m for the striker in 2020 to bring him from FC St Gallen [Glasgow Times] meaning the club made a £1.2m loss on the forward.
A likable personality, things just didn’t quite work out for Ced the Ted and after a season at Rangers the Swiss forward spent six months with Gruether Furth in the Bundesliga.
Recalled in January, the second half of the season was defined by fitness and Covid issues which hampered Cedric Itten attaining full form and fitness.
Taking to Instagram after the exit was confirmed, Cedric left a classy message and Itten clearly enjoyed his time at Rangers even if things didn’t quite work out.
