Following this afternoon’s defeat to Celtic, Steven Gerrard provided a transfer update during his post-match interview with RangersTV.
The Gers have done a lot of business across the summer, bringing in plenty of new faces and letting many young players head out, either on permanent deals or on loan.
The transfer window shuts at midnight tomorrow (Monday 2nd September), though, so the clock is ticking on any further deals.
Yet, the manager still expects there to be movements in the final 24 hours or so.

“Certainly out,” Gerrard told RangersTV when asked about any prospective movement. “We’re trying to move people on so they can play football. In terms of incomings, I’d be surprised.”
The door isn’t completely closed in terms of prospective new signings, then, but it seems unlikely that the squad will be strengthened before the window shuts.
It sounds like there could be good news for the likes of Eros Grezda, Jason Holt, Graham Dorrans and Joe Dodoo, though.
Those are four senior players currently frozen out of the plans at Ibrox, who could conceivably be on their way out.
It’s unlikely that all of them will find new clubs, having waited all summer for an escape. Gerrard clearly believes one or two could secure their exit, though.
While it’s maybe not the last-minute boost a Ryan Kent would provide, it would trim the playing staff and the wage bill somewhat, which will prove beneficial going forward.
