Who is Rangers target Danilo?
Danilo was born in Sao Paulo and spent his time in the ranks of various Brazilian clubs; Portuguesa, Corinthians, Ponte Preta, Vasco da Gama and Santos.
Ajax pounced for Danilo in 2017 and handed him a role in their Jong Ajax side.
Danilo showed his goalscoring potential with 31 goals in 51 appearances, prompting a 2020 loan move to Twente.
17 goals in 34 games really catapulted Danilo as a goalscoring threat but a starring role at Ajax wasn’t forthcoming.
Danilo played just 17 games in the 2021-22 campaign, scoring eight goals before making a controversial free transfer move to bitter rivals Feyenoord.
The diminutive 24-year-old hit 14 goals in all competitions last season, helping Feyenoord win the Eredivisie title and reach the Europa League semi-finals.
Still only 24, Danilo could be a fine complement to Dessers in the Rangers attack – if a deal can be pushed over the line.
