Rangers are hopeful that their latest bid to sign Danilo will be accepted by Dutch champions Feyenoord.
Michael Beale has clearly made attacking reinforcements a top priority this summer.
Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima and Cyriel Dessers have all come in from Atalanta, Brighton and Hove Albion and Cremonese respectively.
If you thought Rangers were done trying to add firepower, then you were absolutely wrong.
Rangers have sold Antonio Colak to Parma and are now moving in for another forward.
Feyenoord star Danilo has become Rangers’ top target with Algemeen Dagblad reporting that Rangers have now offered €6million (£5.2million) for the Brazilian.
The Daily Record claim that Rangers now believe that this offer will be enough to tempt Feyenoord into selling.
It’s suggested that Feyenoord have already rejected offers from Rangers as they chase around £6million for Danilo.
Rangers seemingly think that this £5.2million offer – with odd-ons taking the deal higher – will be enough to get a deal done.
Danilo has asked Feyenoord to let him make the move, so Rangers are growing in confidence on this potential move.
Who is Rangers target Danilo?
Danilo was born in Sao Paulo and spent his time in the ranks of various Brazilian clubs; Portuguesa, Corinthians, Ponte Preta, Vasco da Gama and Santos.
Ajax pounced for Danilo in 2017 and handed him a role in their Jong Ajax side.
Danilo showed his goalscoring potential with 31 goals in 51 appearances, prompting a 2020 loan move to Twente.

17 goals in 34 games really catapulted Danilo as a goalscoring threat but a starring role at Ajax wasn’t forthcoming.
Danilo played just 17 games in the 2021-22 campaign, scoring eight goals before making a controversial free transfer move to bitter rivals Feyenoord.
The diminutive 24-year-old hit 14 goals in all competitions last season, helping Feyenoord win the Eredivisie title and reach the Europa League semi-finals.
Still only 24, Danilo could be a fine complement to Dessers in the Rangers attack – if a deal can be pushed over the line.
