A Daily Star report, suggests Rangers are finally ready to make a move for Lawrence Shankland.
However, not only are Celtic also in the running, but Hull, Sunderland, and Swansea are all said to be interested.
In fairness, it’s easy to see why.

The 23-year-old had a fairly inauspicious start to life in senior football.
Despite moving from Queen’s Park to Aberdeen, he never quite made it in the Granite City.
Multiple loan moves ensued but goals were few and far between at Dunfermline, St Mirren and Morton.
Yet, since securing a permanent switch to Ayr United, he’s banged them in for fun.

With 31 in 33 appearances in all competitions so far this season, he has found the net more often than El Buffalo.
Clearly, it must be factored in that most of these goals have come in the second tier of the SPFL system.
Genuine goalscorers can operate at any level, though.
That’s why he’s piqued the interest of so many big clubs.

The Gers may face a battle to bring him to Ibrox, but if he does come, it’ll be for free.
His contract expires in the summer and therefore, there’s no chance of having to fork out an inflated fee.
He’s thought to be a Rangers fan too, so that’s surely got to give the club an edge.
