QPR manager Mark Warburton has name-checked both Rangers and Celtic when responding to speculation about the future of Bright Osayi-Samuel [West London Sport].
In December, Rangers and a number of other clubs were said to be monitoring Osayi-Samuel’s situation, while it was also claimed that he was a ‘priority’ January transfer target for Celtic [The Scottish Sun via Daily Mail].

Then, earlier this week, Turkish outlet Bursa Hakimiyet reported that the winger had agreed a pre-contract deal with Fenerbahçe.
However, Warburton appears to have rubbished that claim, whilst also dismissing the links to both Old Firm clubs as speculation.
“Apparently he’s going to Celtic and Fenerbahce and Rangers as well,” said the QPR manager [West London Sport]. “I hope he’s got a good passport.”
“It’s all rumours and it keeps the media going. My only concern is Bright working hard, training well and performing well.”
Despite being linked with a move away from Loftus Road for some time, Osayi-Samuel has been used regularly by Warburton, perhaps indicating that the former Gers boss feels there’s a chance of the player staying beyond the current window.

The pacey 23-year-old scored from the spot in a 1-1 draw with Norwich at the end of December and played 90 minutes of the Rs’ extra-time FA Cup defeat to Premier League side Fulham on Saturday.
Osayi-Samuel’s current contract is set to expire in around six months time, so if nothing is agreed in this window, he will become a free agent at the end of the season.
The Championship winger isn’t the only player being linked with a move to Ibrox, but Rangers were dealt an apparent transfer blow on Saturday after developments in the race for a highly-rated 21-year-old.
