Philippe Clement has emerged as a popular frontrunner to replace Michael Beale as Rangers manager.
The 49-year old Belgian was described by his former sporting director as one of europe’s “most prominent and successful coaches” and has experience at the highest level with Monaco and Club Brugge.
In Philippe Clement, Rangers have a no-brainer in terms of what he would bring with journalist Sacha Tavolieri providing fans with some good news on X.

Philippe Clement to Rangers becomes a possibility
When his name was first mentioned, it seemed unlikely that the unattached manager would consider coming to Glasgow.
A link to Saudi Arabia also seemed like James Bisgrove would face an uphill battle to persuade him to come.
Writing on X though, Belgian journalist Tavolieri has claimed that Philippe Clement is keen on becoming the next Rangers boss.
“Talks currently ongoing between Philippe Clement and Rangers.
“Belgian coach has been targeted as one of the main favourites by the Scottish board.
“Philippe Clement keen on the move despite having hold talks with Al Shabab last week.”
Maybe money isn’t everything after all.

It’s frustrating that the players couldn’t get a result in mid-week against Aris Limassol though because a strong position in the Europa League would have made the CEO’s job easier in persuading more in-demand targets that all is not lost this season.
With a history of winning trophies and a playing style that former Rangers midfielder Thomas Buffel has praised, Philippe Clement has to be near the top of our shortlist.
That he is available to start straight away and is keen to make the move should make it a done deal.
