Premier League forward offered to Rangers once labelled “priceless”

Rangers will be looking for additional firepower during this transfer window and it would appear that Emmanuel Dennis could well be a January addition.

The 26-year old forward is interested in a move to Ibrox and would be a welcome addition to Gers boss Philippe Clement’s squad.

He maybe hasn’t had the best of luck since moving from Watford to Nottingham Forest but his time at Vicarage Road will be what Rangers would be hoping for should Emmanuel Dennis move to Glasgow, as backed up by analysis on Match of the Day.

Rangers target Emmanuel Dennis given MOTD seal of approval

One of the things that stood out for the Nigeria international when he had his best season in English football and the Premier League was the numbers that he was producing for a side that would go on to be relegated.

It was also a club that changed managers with the seasons, weather, not football.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Jermain Beckford was full of praise for Dennis as the versatile forward set about trying to keep his team up:

“Brilliant, absolutely fantastic, he’s got a lot of goals, he’s got a lot of assists.

“He’s young, he’s energetic, he excites me.

“Very good in front of goal.

“When he’s in the team, they’ve always got a chance.

“For where they are at the moment and the sticky situation they’re in, to have a player like this, with that kind of calibre in front of goal….priceless.”

This was only two years ago before signing for Forest in the summer of 2022 for £20m.

Last year, he barely played eight games in terms of minutes in the Premier League but still managed two goals and two assists.

It was a poor choice of club, one that massively over recruited on their return to the top flight and, as a result, didn’t know who to play and what players worked best with each other.

At the right club, with the right formation, Emmanuel Dennis could easily return to the form that Beckford is talking about, if he scored the goals that won Rangers the Scottish Premiership there would be only one word to describe him.

Priceless.
