Rangers-linked Algerian midfielder Zinedine Ferhat is subject to two transfer bids – just a day after reports claimed the door was still open for the Gers to move for the Nimes star.
Steven Gerrard’s side were first linked to Ferhat, 28, by Foot Mercato with Glasgow Live claiming earlier this week that the door was still open for a move.

An attacking midfielder who can also play off the right, Ferhat was a rare bright light for a Nimes side which ended up relegated from Ligue 1 last season.
Now, Foot Mercato are claiming that Strasbourg have officially launched a bid for the Algerian international but face stiff competition for the player.
That report claims that an unnamed MLS club are also in the hunt for the player whilst there is talk of interest from England and Turkey.
Rangers are not mentioned by the report and now attention will turn to the move to and any potential fee.
Whilst transfer fees remain undisclosed in the report, Foot Mercato claim that the MLS side have bid slightly higher than their Ligue 1 counterparts.
Strasbourg have made a few major moves in the transfer market this summer with former French international striker Kevin Gameiro signing after his contract expired at Valencia.
Reports have previously suggested that the player would be available for £4.2m (€5m) [Le10Sport].

Despite all the posturing this summer, there has been nothing concrete regarding Rangers’ reported interest in the player and we’ll keep an eye on this one to see how it plays out.
Ferhat has played only five minutes in Ligue 2 this season amid all the speculation, but the Algerian delivered six goals and ten assists in 33 Ligue 1 games last season.
Speaking of midfielders linked to Rangers, one high-profile Ibrox-linked star has shown his international manager exactly what he’s missing.
