Jose Cifuentes is on his way to Glasgow to complete a move to Rangers, according to a report.
The Daily Record has reported that Rangers are on the verge of signing Jose Cifuentes from Los Angeles FC in the summer transfer window.
Jose Cifuentes about to join Rangers
Rangers will pay Los Angeles FC £1.2 million in transfer fees for Cifuentes.
The 24-year-old midfielder had already signed a pre-contract with Rangers, who have decided to pay a transfer fee to Los Angeles FC to get a deal done for the Ecuador international now.
The Daily Record has reported that Cifuentes is flying to Scotland today and will sign a four-year contract with Rangers.
Rangers manager Michael Beale pretty much confirmed this past weekend that the Scottish Premiership club were on the verge of signing Cifuentes.
Beale added that he has been in talks with the midfielder and outlined his attributes.

The Rangers Review quoted Beale as saying: “It’s going to be a matter of days. The talks are ongoing and LA has been excellent to deal with throughout.
“I’ve been close to the deal throughout and close to the talks. There are visas and medicals when coming across but we will hopefully have good news in a couple of days. It’s going to happen, but it’s just a matter of time.”
The Rangers boss added: “He’s a really good player, box-to-box and he can play as a No.8 or No.6.
“He’s been playing from Christmas down but there’s been a break in the MLS for a couple of weeks and that’ll be good for him. We don’t want him to be playing for the full year so the week off has been good to him.
“I’ve been on the phone and watching him do some work. We are excited to have him here but let’s see when he’s here and settled into the team. He’s a player that can take us to another level.”
Cifuentes made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in Major League Soccer for Los Angeles FC this season.
The midfielder scored one goal and gave three assists in those matches.
Rangers have been very busy in the summer transfer window.
Among the players the Gers have signed so far this summer are centre-forward Danilo from Feyenoord, centre-forward Cyriel Dessers from Cremonese, centre-forward Sam Lammers from Atalanta, right-back Dujon Sterling and attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell.
Rangers will be determined to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
