Former Rangers defender Craig Moore has heard that goalkeeper Jack Butland is keen to make the move to Ibrox.
Rangers are being heavily linked with a move to sign Butland this summer as they chase a new goalkeeper.
Jon McLaughlin is allegedly available this summer and Allan McGregor’s time as Rangers number one is surely over.
Michael Beale needs a new first-choice stopper and that could be Butland.
The Scottish Sun reported last week that Rangers are ‘on the brink’ of signing Butland on a free transfer.
Butland is currently on loan at Manchester United, serving as cover for first-choice goalkeeper David De Gea.
The 30-year-olds is out of contract this summer though and can seemingly move on for nothing.
Palace do hold a one-year option on Butland’s contract but Rangers’ confidence makes it sound like the goalkeeper is free to go.

Craig Moore comments on Jack Butland to Rangers
Butland would almost certainly become Rangers’ new number one goalkeeper if he does secure a move.
One man who thinks the deal is on is former Rangers defender Craig Moore.
The Australian spoke to Go Radio on Tuesday night and discussed Butland’s potential move.
Moore claims that he has heard Butland is a player ‘of real interest’ to Rangers this summer.
Moore adds that Butland wants to be playing more games and is actually interested in signing for Rangers.
“I believe that he is someone that is of real interest to the football club, in terms of his ability,” said Moore.
“He is a goalkeeper that would love to be playing more. He has a huge presence and by all accounts wouldn’t mind playing for Rangers. Again, that is just what I am hearing. Rangers definitely need a number one goalkeeper,” he added.
Butland was once tipped for a huge future during his time with Birmingham City.
The 6ft 5in stopper hasn’t been able to fulfil his potential though and has only played 10 Premier League games for Palace.
Now 30, it’s time for Butland to be playing regularly and Rangers can offer that regular first-team role.
Sitting on the bench for United or Palace just isn’t any good for Butland and that could work perfectly for Rangers.
