Once Rangers-linked Bordeaux striker Josh Maja is available for around £3.4m in January, according to Lancs Live who cite reports in France.
Maja started his senior career at Sunderland and a report in the Sunday People in January 2019 suggested that Rangers were interested in signing him when his contract was expiring at the Stadium of Light.

The London-born forward chose Bordeaux, though, moving to France to test himself in Ligue 1.
Rangers would then be credited with interest in him again just six months later, when it was thought that Alfredo Morelos was likely to be sold [Sky Sports].
Maja has had a mixed time of it with Les Girondins, scoring 12 goals in 49 appearances, but spending the second half of last season back in England on loan at Fulham.
A back injury has ensured he’s yet to feature in the league so far in this campaign, but he did make a scoring return to action in the Coupe de France at the weekend.
Manager Vladimir Petkovic has a number of other options at the top end of the pitch, though, including Hwang Ui-jo and Sekou Mara and it’s reported that Bordeaux are willing to move him on next month for a fee in the region of €4m (£3.4m) [Lancs Live].

Should Rangers snap up Josh Maja from Bordeaux?
Maja would surely need to prove his fitness over the coming weeks before any club would be willing to stump up several million pounds for him.
Rangers are unlikely to spend big next month anyway, unless a major player or two are sold.
Therefore, perhaps as was the case in July 2020, the chances of the Gers moving for Maja may well be directly linked to the future of El Bufalo.
There’s certainly a lot to like about the ex-Sunderland star, though.
He’s young, athletic, carries himself with real confidence and while not yet prolific at the top level, he certainly has an eye for goal.
Rangers could do worse than swooping for him next month if Morelos headed for pastures new or if an injury crisis rocked Ibrox.
Meanwhile, a report has made a big claim about Nathan Patterson’s stance on interest from Everton.
