On fire Alfredo Morelos is worth a lot more than £2 million

Alfredo Morelos has been on fire for Rangers this season.
His goal against Hibernian on Boxing Day at Ibrox was his 20th of the season, meaning that before the winter break, he had already surpassed last year’s total of 18.
He is the one man who stands up time and time again in the final third, as the squad has been hit by injuries and loss of form.

However, the Colombian’s performances have not gone unnoticed elsewhere.
There is expected to be considerable interest in his services during the January Transfer Window.
Ideally, he will stay at Rangers to help launch a title challenge. Encouragingly, assistant manager, Gary McAllister, has
maintained that the star man is going nowhere.
Yet, a lot of things are said in football that aren’t necessarily true. If an excellent offer comes in and El Buffalo wants to leave, a move is a possibility.

How much could Rangers expect to get for him?

Morelos is valued at £2.03 million by Transfermarkt, as of August 2018.
Given what the striker has achieved this season, though, that valuation seems laughable.
It’s double what Rangers paid HJK Helsinki for his services in June 2017.

However, this is a player who has just reached the golden 20-goal mark, only halfway through the season.

At 22, he’s only going to get better and he is contracted to the Gers until 2022. All of those factors should be a recipe for some sizeable bids.
When you think that Rangers paid £1.8 million for Eros Grezda in the summer, £2 million simply doesn’t suffice for Morelos.
How much do you think he’s worth?
