Premier League newboys Nottingham Forest have been immediately linked to ex-Rangers loanee Aaron Ramsey after the midfielder was officially released from Juventus.
Welsh international Ramsey, 31, spent the second half of last season on loan at Ibrox and to say the stint with Rangers was tumultuous would be an understatement.

Perennially plagued with injury problems, Aaron Ramsey struggled to get any kind of consistency with his fitness and ultimately missed the decisive penalty in the Europa League Final.
The signing was a failure – Rangers slipped six points behind in the title race from the January transfer window – and the signing of Ramsey will go down as a bitterly disappointing one in our history.
Now, the midfielder finds himself without a club in a World Cup year after Juventus negotiated the release of Ramsey from the final year of his contract.
Infamously on a reported £400k per week contract at Juventus, Aaron Ramsey is now without a club and will be looking to the future.

According to the Daily Mail, the midfielder has several options overseas; these include Serie B side Monza FC, Turkish outfits Karagumruk and Galatasaray, with a move to MLS also mooted.
But the Sun claim there are three Premier League sides all considering a move for the midfielder, including Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham.
That would be some move for Aaron Ramsey but something tells us the midfielder would need to prove his fitness first ahead of any return to the Premier League.
Some Rangers fans still have a soft spot for the midfielder whilst others are saying good riddance after his failed loan stint in Glasgow ended in tears.

Whatever the case, a move to Rangers appears extremely unlikely and most fans will be hoping the club has learned its lesson when it comes to injury-plagued players coming in on loan.
Meanwhile, an ex-Man United kid has been opening up on his Rangers ambitions after being spotted at an open Ibrox training day.
