Dutch club Feyenoord have made a move for Rangers-linked Vitesse Arnhem defender Danilho Doekhi – but it’s been thrown out by their Eredivisie rivals.
De Telegraaf claims that Feyenoord enquired about Doekhi but the fee they had in mind was laughed off by Vitesse, with the paper suggesting the De Kuip club’s valuation couldn’t afford one of the player’s legs.

This comes after Feyenoord reluctantly appeared to admit defeat in their pursuit of another Rangers-linked Dutch star in Joey Veerman.
Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnsen claims that Heerenveen’s asking price is much too high despite the fact coach Arne Slot is “crazy” about the player [Voetbal International].
Interestingly, 23-year-old centre half Doekhi has been named the new Vitesse Arnhem captain after helping the club to a European spot last season.
Vitesse finished managed a fourth-place finish in the Dutch topflight and will kick off their European Conference League qualification effort against Dundalk in QR3 this evening.
Rangers were linked with a move for Danilho Doekhi way back at the beginning of the transfer window and were first mentioned by Football Insider.
The Telegraph would then also link the Gers alongside the likes of Newcastle United and Norwich City.
Feyenoord would then join the hunt later down the line with Rangers’ interest in the player somewhat waning in the press at least.

A move for Doekhi also might be somewhat harder even if his contract reportedly expires next season amid that news that he’ll be captaining Vitesse Arnhem next season.
Doekhi himself spoke about his future earlier in the summer and didn’t say much when it came to his future.
