Apparently, it’s a big step from playing youth and B team football, not that on-loan Rangers prospect Alex Lowry is showing any signs of a struggle to adapt.
At 20-years old he could be forgiven for taking his time to get used to Tynecastle or his manager’s instructions.
Just as he did at Rangers though, Alex Lowry didn’t just impress fans but also the media too.

Rangers loanee shines as Alex Lowry impresses the Scottish media
Neil McCann was hugely impressed with the Auchenhowie graduate’s efforts and, despite only being in for 30 Mins.
Speaking on BBC’s Sportscene, the former Ranger was excited with what Lowry produced after coming off the bench.
The Herald’s Hearts correspondent, Joel Sked, was also impressed with the Rangers youngster as Alex Lowry set about stamping his authority on the game.
“Individually, Alex Lowry showed so much promise. Great awareness and players will know he can keep the ball. Yutaro Oda and Frankie Kent both very good. Haring a steady influence in the middle. But Nathaniel Atkinson! A man transformed.”
Sked’s media colleague Sean Hamilton was equally as keen to show his take on Lowry, branding his cameo as “class“.
Aaron Fraser, a journalist, Hearts fan and The Football Content Awards’ best young content creator for ’22, gave a simple account of Lowry’s impact for Hearts:
“Alex Lowry completely changed the game when he came on, what a player he is!”

It’s safe to say that the Rangers youngster has made a decent start to his time at Tynecastle, the lure of European football persuading Alex Lowry to stay in Scotland.
Hearts is a perfect fit for the 20-year old and it looks as though he is already a fans’ favourite – his number 51 shirt was always going to make him popular too.
