Rangers loanee Malik Tillman has now revealed his honest thoughts on making a permanent transfer to Ibrox. The Gers signed the attacking midfielder back in July with an option to buy.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst added the 20-year-old to the fold in Glasgow and watched Tillman adapt well to the club. His presence at Ibrox has only continued to grow since Michael Beale took charge, as well. The USA international is now a leading presence in the Rangers line-up.

Tillman has started in 18 of his 23 Premiership games so far this season after joining Rangers from Bayern Munich. He has also offered seven goals and four assists, while finding the back of the net nine times and creating another five over 36 appearances across all competitions.

Beale would now love to see Tillman stay at Rangers permanently following his loan transfer from Bayern Munich. The Gers boss admitted earlier this month, via the Daily Record, that it would be a ‘no-brainer’ to retain the four-cap playmaker as he is an ‘excellent’ young player.

But it will cost Rangers £5m to take up their option to buy Tillman from Bayern Munich, per The Times. Beale would also need the Nurnberg native to agree to leave Der FCB to secure a deal. He joined the record Bundesliga champions in 2015 and is under contract until 2024.

Tillman is open to a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich to Rangers

Tillman, though, has now stated that he would be open to Rangers making his loan transfer from Bayern Munich permanent. But the FCB prospect, who has played seven senior games for the Allianz Arena side, also sees a return to Bavaria come the summer in a positive light.

So, for now, Tillman is keeping his options open and has not set a definitive stance on a full-time transfer. His priority will also be the role on offer at the club he plays with next season.

“I just want to play as much as possible,” Tillman told Kicker. “But I don’t really care where that will be. I feel comfortable here, very much so. I’m bringing in my performances, which I think they like quite well here at Rangers. But I could also imagine that Bayern really like it.”
