Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is not actively pursuing a deal for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as Michael Beale explains the player’s absence from a Germany training camp.
According to Jonny McFarlane of the Rangers Review, Leeds United have “no concrete interest” in Glen Kamara, despite reports to the contrary.

The 4th Official – who have links to Fabrizio Romano – has previously reported that Rangers were set to sell Glen Kamara to Leeds United in a £4m deal which included a sell-on fee percentage and a series of add-ons.
Links in the Yorkshire Evening Post had also claimed the Elland Road club were “assessing” the midfielder.
“My understanding is there’s no concrete interest from Leeds at the moment,” said McFarlane on the Rangers Review’s YouTube channel.
“That’s not to say they’ve not looked at the player or that they don’t have any sights on the player at all. It’s just there’s nothing imminent on that front, nothing’s been agreed between the two clubs.
“Obviously, Rangers are open to selling and Kamara sees his future elsewhere. His two big pals Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo have got their moves and I don’t think he’s been the same since they left. It’s time for him to go and I’m sure when he does go Rangers will recoup a decent amount of money.”
Michael Beale talks Glen Kamara as links to Leeds United cool
With those Glen Kamara links to Germany boss Daniel Farke and Leeds United now set to cool, Rangers boss Michael Beale has also been discussing the player’s situation.
Kamara was not included in the club’s Germany training camp, with Ibrox media partner Four Lads Had a Dream claiming that this was due to the Arsenal academy graduate “negotiating his exit”.
However, after the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in Allan McGregor’s Rangers testimonial, Michael Beale claims the player was absent due to illness.
Claiming that Glen Kamara is set to return to training imminently, the Rangers boss admits that there have a number of “enquiries” and that the speculation over the player is “ongoing”.

“There’s been quite a few enquiries for Glen,” said Michael Beale.
“We gave him an extended break due to his international stuff in the summer and unfortunately he’s been ill the last few days so he didn’t come to Germany with us.
“He’s due to return to training in the coming days and that’ll be ongoing, the speculation.”
Be it Leeds United or somewhere else, it appears Glen Kamara will be on the move this summer but for the meantime the midfielder remains a Rangers player.
