Leading journalist Chris Jack is backing Finnish international midfielder Glen Kamara to leave Rangers this summer as Michael Beale revamps his squad.
The Herald and Times Sport journalist briefly discussed the ex-Arsenal academy kid’s future as he talked up the merits of offering Scott Arfield a new contract.

Rangers have added quality in the likes of Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell to the position recently whilst John Lundstram, Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield are competing for the other spaces in the squad.
But as Rangers prepare to invest substantially more than they have in recent seasons this summer, the future of Glen Kamara remains a hot topic of debate in Ibrox circles.
This has been backed up by Chris Jack, who believes Glen Kamara “should” move on from Rangers this summer.
“Nicolas Raskin has quickly made an impression in that area of the park,” writes Jack.
“Glen Kamara should be sold in the summer and it remains to be seen what Beale has planned for John Lundstram and more attacking options such as Ianis Hagi, Alex Lowry and Tom Lawrence, once he is finally fit for action once again.”
Glen Kamara Rangers future remains unclear
Infamously signed for only £50k in the January of 2019, Rangers fans have seen the best and worst of the now 27-year-old midfielder during his time in Glasgow.
Glen Kamara has at times proven a composed, intelligent, pivot of a midfielder, whose disciplined positioning has allowed Borna Barisic to flourish whilst his reading of the game has kept the ball ticking over in midfield.
The midfielder has expert close control and at his best is excellent at finding space in midfield and opening play up for his teammates.
But too often Rangers have seen the disinterested, confidence-sapped Glen Kamara, who looks at times like he’d rather be anywhere else than Ibrox stadium.
With Rangers reportedly turning down £10m interest from OGC Nice on deadline day in the summer, this could be another case of a player held onto too long.
Now struggling to get into the Rangers team, Chris Jack reckons the midfielder “should” be moved on in the summer as Ibrox supporters finally see the club move in a new direction.
