Laughable Rangers links to Hibs defender Ryan Porteous have resurfaced online as English Championship club Stoke City reportedly top the centre-back’s list of suitors.
It’s fair to say Ryan Porteous and the Ibrox club don’t exactly see eye-to-eye and it would be a quite remarkable turn up for the books if the Scotland international wound-up at Ibrox.

Hibs have announced that the 23-year-old centre-back will leave them come the end of the season after coming through the youth ranks at Easter Road.
And the Hibees stand to lose out on a bumper payday for their apparently prime asset with Porteous free to leave for nothing come to the end of the campaign.
Ryan Porteous once again mentioned alongside Rangers
Remarkably – and despite the fact Porteous has two Rangers red cards already in his career – the defender has been named as a potential Ibrox target with the deal ticking down.
You only need to go back to October to read Ryan Porteous’ name being mentioned alongside Rangers with the Scottish Sun naming the Gers amongst the favourites.
Ex-Ibrox striker Kris Boyd then went deeper into the twilight zone to claim that the bruising Scotland international should be on the radar at his former club.
Now, the links have resurfaced in the Stoke Sentinel with the paper naming Rangers as being amongst the favourites to sign the defender with the Britannia club leading the charge.
The Championship side have been named as the favourites with Sheffield United and Old Firm rivals Celtic also said to be in with a shout.
The story will have Rangers fans and probably Ryan Porteous himself buckled with laughter with the defender having virtually no chance of moving to Ibrox.
Even if the Gers came calling – which they fundamentally shouldn’t – we’re about as likely to see Ryan Porteous donning a Ranger shirt as we are Neil Lennon.
Meanwhile, Rangers may have to ring fence over £11m amid a series of court cases.
