David Watson agrees deal to join Bolton Wanderers
According to the Daily Record, Bolton Wanderers have won the race to secure the services of the Scottish attacking midfielder.
Despite Rangers’ best efforts to sign Watson, they will not be able to bring him to Ibrox, with Bolton agreeing a deal to sign him.
He will be moving to the English club on a free contract under the terms of a cross-border switch.

That will see Kilmarnock making less money from his exit than they would have had he moved to a Scottish club.
Bolton were willing to pay money to sign the Scotland Under-21 international as they even launched a six-figure bid to secure his services in January.
Other Premiership, Italian and English clubs tried their luck to sign Watson, but he only wanted to move to Bolton.
Will Rangers regret missing out on Watson?
The Gers do not want to sign another midfielder, especially one who is unlikely to strengthen their playing eleven.
They don’t just want numbers, but instead, are keen on bringing in someone who can do something different.
Watson’s tactical profile also does not lend itself to a side expected to dominate possession, which is how Rohl wants to play.
The player himself would not consider the move to Ibrox as he is at that stage in his career where he needs to be playing regularly.
There are other midfield options that Rohl is likely to want, especially those who can offer a goal threat and also bring much-needed leadership to the dressing room.
