Last week, it was reported by the Daily Record, that Rangers are interested in Craig Bryson.
Therefore, when it was suggested by the Express (15th January, page 63), yesterday, that they had a rival for his services, that could be construed as bad news.

However, should Bryson end up switching to Hibs, whether now or in the summer, they will be better off.
That’s not because the former Scotland international is a shocking footballer. He certainly isn’t.
Yet,
At 32, he’s no spring chicken. While experience is great, the Gers have already greatly improved their reserves of that commodity already in this window.

More importantly, though, there is currently a sizeable collection of central midfielders at the club.
Game time will already be scarce for some of those players, so there’s no need to add someone else into the mix.
Right before the winter break, the Gers midfield played Celtic’s off the park.
Since then, they’ve added Steven Davis, a quality and experienced operator.
What’s more, Glen Kamara will be joining in the summer, at the latest.

Any other additions would simply be overkill.
Just because a good player becomes available, doesn’t mean you always have to go get him.
Bryson would undoubtedly be a good addition for Neil Lennon at Hibs.
Yet, he’s just simply not required at Ibrox for the run in.
