An Evening Times report suggests there will be multiple outgoings at Rangers during the summer.
After defeat in the Old Firm on Sunday, Steven Gerrard’s side sits 13 points behind Celtic.
It’s a huge gap considering the teams were nominally level going into the winter break.
Rangers have improved this season, though, and to develop further, they need to be busy in the transfer market.
The club can’t keep buying without letting anyone go, though, and it appears four senior players are set to depart.
Wes Foderingham, Gareth McAuley, Lee Wallace, and Graham Dorrans.
The report says the quartet ‘will move on’ as they are out of favour or are coming to the end of contracts.
Foderingham
The big keeper was formerly the first choice for the Gers, after signing in 2015. However, the return of Allan McGregor has seen him play second fiddle all season. He’s only made 6 appearances under Stevie G.
McAuley
The veteran centre-back has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox. Injury and indifferent form ensure he’s failed to secure a place in the side. He’s only appeared twice in 2019 and his one-year deal expires in a few months.
Wallace
The former club captain has spent the entire campaign on the peripheries. At just 31, there’s no doubt he still has something to offer. However, he’s seemingly been deemed unselectable by the club and has made just two substitute appearances under Gerrard.
Dorrans
The 31-year-old’s time at Rangers has been plagued by injuries. This season, it’s been a serious knee injury that’s kept him out of action. It’s sidelined him since September and he looks unlikely to return before the league ends. This report suggests he’ll leave despite having a year left on his current deal.
