Speaking on the L’Equipe du Soir programme, Amiens’ President, Bernard Joannin, says formerly Rangers linked striker Serhou Guirassy will be allowed to leave the club this summer.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Ibrox back in December [Courrier Picard] but the trail went cold in the lead up to the January transfer window and the player stayed put in France.

Joannin claims Guirassy remained with Amiens out of loyalty because he wanted to help the club beat the drop.
However, when the season was halted in March the northern French club were second bottom of the table and the subsequent cancellation of the Ligue 1 campaign amid the global health crisis saw them relegated.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the striker is now set to move elsewhere, rather than dropping to the second tier.
“With Serhou, we have a commitment (to letting him go this summer),” said Joannin on the L’Equipe du Soir programme, as translated by Le11 Amienois.
“He had important proposals from English clubs (during the January window), but he wanted to stay to save the club – these were the words he said to me. He wanted to go to until the end of the story with his teammates.
“(Now) we have important proposals from England and also from France.”
West Ham are alleged to be one of the clubs interested in snapping up the former French youth international [Le10 Sport].

Verdict
At one time, Guirassy was earmarked as a possible replacement for Alfredo Morelos if and when the Gers cashed in on their talismanic striker.
Athletically built and 6ft 2″, he has a significant physical presence and is capable of operating either as a striker and out wide.
Nine goals from 23 appearances this season represents a decent return in a struggling side and it seems that while the Gers may no longer have their eye on him, he could soon get a chance to prove himself in British football.
In addition to Morelos, Rangers currently have two other forwards to choose from in Jermain Defoe and Florian Kamberi, but the latter’s loan deal is due to expire at the end of the season – whenever that may be.
